7. Who Is Madame Gao's Boss?

In the Tournament Of Death episode, when Gao offers Danny the challenge of defeating her champions to barter for the release of her captive, she informs him that her master "approves" of his terms.

So who is this master? It's unlikely to be Bakuto, since the pair have wildly diverging ideas of what The Hand should be, and this trial was very much part of Gao's heroin plot. Maybe there's another head of The Hand we haven't yet met that both of them answer to?

Could it be that Gao is in fact working for Sigourney Weaver's villain from The Defenders? It would make sense that it would be a more corporate figure, given Gao's agenda seems to be turning The Hand into a global power and major financial power.
