Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

1. Jeri's Secret Mission

Though it ties up lots of the main stories, the season does still end on something of a cliffhanger as Malcolm and Cheng have their business meeting with Jeri Hogarth, who offers them a job that would seemingly fly in the face of Jessica Jones' scruples. She makes it very clear that this wouldn't be something Jessica would be happy with and that it would be best if she didn't know about it at all.

So, we have to wonder what the "mission" she's hiring the Private Investigators for actually is. It has to be pretty dark and pretty illegal for it to be unsuitable for Jessica.

Given the revelation of her ALS, could this be a means for Jeri to be cured? There's probably only one avenue for that - actually using IGH's discoveries to heal her somehow - which would probably involve using Trish (which may be why she's so clear on Jessica not being a viable option to use?) That would certain seem to fit.

For now, we'll just have to wait until season 3 to find out what she has planned.
