Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2: What Does The Ending Really Mean?
6. Jessica Has Found Something Like A "Normal" Life...
For all of the difficulties Jessica goes through in the 13 episodes of season 2, she actually ends with something of a happy ending. Sure, her mother's dead and she's isolated - not to mention having a huge rival for her business - but she looks to have established a normal, functioning relationship with another adult (and his child).
Sitting at that dinner table with Oscar and Vido, Jessica may look slightly out of place - uncomfortable even - but this is her chance of a happy ending. Oscar isn't a volatile super like Luke Cage or a megalomaniac villain like Kilgrave and he offers her an opportunity to get away from the promiscuous life that was leaving her hollow.
Could Season 3 see her actually settled down...?
