37. Origin Story
Luke Cage's empowering origin goes pretty much exactly the same way as it did in the comics. Well, at least Rackham's interference and the experiment going wrong is anyway.
In the comics, the experiment is actually an attempt to recreate the effects of the Super Soldier serum. And Rackham interfered not wanting Cage to get his parole, messing with the dials and almost killing him. On the page Rackham wasn't killed off, no matter how much he deserved it (he died 15 issues after he debuted though).
Incidentally, when he's called Harlem's Captain America by Cottonmouth, it's obviously not an accident, given that origin.
