Marvel's Luke Cage: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best

Finest Moment: Seducing Luke.

As the comic book creators of the character basically intended, Misty Knight is a typical blaxploitation heroine - a catsuit wearing, highly-sexed Foxy Cleopatra type without the spoofery who is hard-boiled when she needs it and spars with Luke and the villains on an equal footing.

But there's more to her than being a Pam Grier clone (you can just imagine Tarantino's hard-on at getting to play with this character, incidentally): she's actually naive and misguided by her faith in the wrong people (Scarfe predominantly). That vulnerability allows her some room to grow and develop too, so she goes from being a John McClane-lite with friction with police higher-ups to being a proper superhero in her own right.

That's why we see her at the end in her iconic comic book appearance, and why everyone will be stoked at even the slightest hint that she could get her own Daughters Of The Dragon spin-off with Iron Fist's Colleen Wing.
