7. Will Bushmaster Make A Return?
Praise the MCU gods! Luke Cage season 2 didn't deliver another dud of a villain like season 2 did with Diamondback and instead we got Bushmaster. While not an instant classic like Kingpin or Kilgrave, Bushmaster was a strong, layered antagonist brought to life with a great performance from Mustafar Shakir.
Though he makes a sizeable impression for the majority of the season, however, his role kind of fizzles out in the later few episodes. The last time we see him, he is suffering from the effects of a high dose of Nightshade and it's said that he is being taken back to Jamaica to recuperate. He doesn't even get to witness the fruition of his life's goal: the death of Mariah Dillard ( MARIAH STOKES!).
This leaves the door open for Bushmaster to return next season, then. Let's hope that's on the cards. In particular, it would be interesting to see more of Luke and the man otherwise known as John McIver team up, as their brief union in season 2 provided one of the best action scenes of the run.
