Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best

Comanche did feature back in season 1, during a couple of flashbacks to Luke's time at Seagate, but he didn't make much of an impression beyond being Shades' right-hand man. In season 2, he has a much bigger role and becomes a surprisingly layered character.

Thanks to his friendship with Shades, Comanche joins Mariah's gang, much to her distaste. Her instincts turn out to be right when it's revealed Comanche is working with Captain Ridenhour to bring Mariah down. Though it would ensure his freedom, Comanche is clearly riddled with guilt about snitching on his life-long friend. In a subtle, well-crafted revelation, we even learn the pair had a sexual relationship in jail.

It's Comanche who turns out to be the one who's betrayed, however, when Shades kills him after discovering his snitching. The character only lasts for the first half of the season, then, but his presence is still felt afterwards due to Shades being haunted by his death.
