Well, Netflix kind of adores them. We had amazing ones in each season of Daredevil (more, if you count the Punisher's prison rampage), one in Luke Cage, and another in Iron Fist. Jessica Jones missed out on the hallway love, but - as you've most likely all ready seen in every Defenders trailer so far - she gets to lead the charge in one now, so woo!
Again, apart from Iron Fist, Marvel's action set-pieces on Netflix have all been spectacularly authentic and visceral. It's an element that's expected to stay with The Defenders, and why wouldn't it? Hallway fights are awesome. More of them in everything, please.

He started his own podcast, We Love Dad Movies, in 2022, and has contributed several written pieces to the Eisner-nominated comics website Shelfdust as well.
In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
