6. Luke Cage And Iron Fist Team-Up
Something fans have been expecting to happen for a long time in these shows is for Luke Cage and Danny Rand to team up. In the comics, Power Man and Iron Fist form one of the Marvel universe's most beloved and long-lasting friendships. Specifically, the duo head their own business known as Heroes For Hire - in which they basically operate as bodyguards/private detectives.
The idea of Luke earning money for his hero work has been talked about in Luke Cage before, so it looks like the HFH will be coming at some point. From what we know about the Netflix versions of these characters, we can't see the burly Hero of Harlem becoming best pals with a naive rich kid like Danny, but a nod to their partnership in the comics has to happen. Even if the formation of the Heroes For Hire organisation is held back until later. Maybe Iron Fist or Luke Cage season two?
It would be great to have the seeds of the HFH sown in The Defenders, purely as a treat for comics fans. More than that, though, the show needs a strong friendship to help gel the ragtag heroes together as a family. Think how The Avengers gave us the Science Bros in Tony Stark and Bruce Banner.
