Confirmed By: An official announcement on the show's Twitter page in November last year, a few days after most of the others.

Plot Predictions: After being killed in Daredevil's second season, Elektra is coming back from the dead in The Defenders, and that's the first point regarding the character they'll have to address. We saw her being put in a coffin, but just how does she actually return to life?

After that, there's also the small detail that she is the Black Sky, a mysterious but supposedly hugely powerful weapon created by the Hand, and the thing that - on a street/combat level - these four heroes will have to take on.

We don't know the full extent of those powers, but if it requires those guys coming together (even if she isn't the mastermind behind it all) then it's surely got to be something pretty major. It'll also be interesting to see if she maintains any memories, and thus remembers Matt, or has no idea who he is. Him trying to bring her back to the side of good is a very superhero plot, and one that could well be explored here - as could her eventual death.
