9. The Log Cabin Battle (Episode 5, "Gunner")

Frank's investigation sees him visiting one of his former soldier pals, Gunner Henderson, who was also part of Operation Cerberus in Kandahar, and eventually became a whistleblower on the U.S. government's illegal operation, which was funded by smuggling heroin in the corpses of American soldiers.

Frank gets a few peaceful minutes with Gunner before Agent Orange dispatches a kill squad to the log cabin retreat, leading to an intense shootout, with Gunner using a bow-and-arrow to dispatch as many men as possible, while Frank makes good use of a trusty machine gun-knife combo, and Micro provides drone support.

Frequent cutting to the soldiers' body-cams as they're picked off one by one is a neat touch, and the suspenseful sequence does a fantastic job showing Frank adapting to his stripped-down, boxed-in surroundings.
