Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. To Be Shown By Channel 4 In UK

Marvel Agents Of Shield UK broadcaster Channel 4 have acquired the premiere broadcast rights to show "Marvel€™s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." this fall, according to reports. The hotly-anticipated new series from Marvel Television and ABC Studios will premiere in the UK this winter shortly after it's broadcast on AMC in the states. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" is Marvel's first live-action television series about the worldwide law enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D, produced and directed by Joss Whedon (Thor, The Cabin in the Woods). Clark Gregg returns to his role as Agent Phil Coulson, who is tasked with assembling a small but highly-select group of Agents to investigate the new, the strange and the unknown from across the globe. Helping Coulson will be Agent Grant Ward, (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat; Agent Melinda May, (Ming-Na Wen), an expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), a brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Channel 4's Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt praised the "bold and exhilarating" upcoming TV show.
"Like the Super Hero universe from which it has come, 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' is big, bold and absolutely exhilarating. Featuring the production values you'd expect from Marvel and ABC Studios, this is family entertainment at its most exciting."
