Marvel's Daredevil: 10 Reasons It's The Best Comic Book Show Ever

6. The Action Is Spectacularly Choreographed

The current king of comic book action on TV is Arrow, a show that has received wide praise for its stunt work and impressive fight scenes accomplished on a television budget. The Flash and Marvel's own Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. are also no slouches when it comes to action, but Daredevil may usurp Arrow's position as the king with its scintillating action set-pieces.

The stakes are real. Murdock is gravely injured a number of times; he is often left bloody, bruised and cut-open after his nightly escapades and sometimes takes a few episodes to recover before he is able to suit up again. As much as possible, Marvel takes a real-life approach to the action in the show, and it is superb to behold.

A stand-out sequence that has already been lavished with praise in the media is the hallway fight scene at the end of episode two, 'Cut Man'. Filmed in one continuous shot, the three-minute scene follows Daredevil as he mixes it up with a collection of henchman in the cramped hallway, before rescuing a kidnapped child.

The fight (which was influenced by The Raid) is expertly choreographed and breathtaking to watch; truly an incredible achievement by everyone involved.
