4. Mike Murdock
Claire Temple keeps referring to Matt as "Mike" as another in-joke, claiming that she it's because she doesn't know his real name.
The reference is a funny jibe at the Daredevil comics line that preposterously introduced Mike Murdock - Matt's apparent twin (who wasn't blind). Inevitably, Mike was just Matt dressed up, allowing him to channel all of his more obnoxious character traits and allowing him more emotional freedom.
Needless to say, fans didn't respond well and "Mike" was killed off.
