23. The Pier Fight
The opening fight that sees Daredevil take down the human traffickers clearly draws from Daredevil #159, which also saw Turk Barrett being bested by the hero. It was, crucially, the second issue of Frank Miller's run on the property.
Barrett is a familiar face from Daredevil comics: he's never risen to super-villain territory but has been around since the 1970s. He was also cut from the Daredevil movie: presumably rapper Coolio didn't quite do him justice.
The same fight foreshadows Daredevil's iconic baton weapon: the cattle prod wielded by Turk ends up in Daredevil's hand and he employs it with familiar flourish.
