Marvel's Daredevil Season 3: 10 Spoiler Free Reactions To First Six Episodes

1. It's A Return To Form (So Far)

Based on the six episodes viewed so far, with explosive, intense action sequences, fascinating character work, and nuanced performances from its lead cast, Daredevil Season 3 is absolutely a return to form - and that goes for both the show itself and the Netflix corner of the MCU as a whole.

Season 2 of Daredevil, although not bad by any means, was a step down from Season 1, and things haven't fared brilliantly since then either: Iron Fist and The Defenders both disappointed, The Punisher was a little bloated (but its final 1/3 was spectacular), and the second seasons of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist - all of which arrived this year(!) - couldn't reach the same high bar Netflix and Marvel set in 2015, to varying degrees.

Of course, this could all be premature and the next seven episodes might fall victim to all the same problems we've seen before: poor pacing, too many episodes, not enough story, badly executed twists, and so on. But going on what Netflix have chosen to put out, it's the strongest first half to a Marvel series we've seen in a long time, and hopefully that will carry through the rest of the season as well.
