5. Wilson Bethel Is A Strong Addition (With Huge Potential)

Wilson Bethel's casting was initially shrouded in some mystery, with Netflix and Marvel playing coy on reports that he'd be taking on the role of classic Daredevil villain Bullseye, before outright confirming it at last weekend's New York Comic-Con.

Bethel isn't the kind of big name previously linked to the show - Jason Statham was reportedly in talks at one point - but that's no bad thing, with the Heart of Dixie actor really able to do his own thing with the character of Benjamin Pointdexter, or 'Dex'.

Rather than making the character an outright villain, they instead paint Dex as a man teetering on the edge; there's a dark, troubled past to the character that could easily lead to him swinging to hero as much as it could villain, and Bethel delivers the kind of nuanced take we've come to expect from the best bad guys on these Marvel shows: he is, at times, a walking ball of intensity, but there's also a lot of vulnerability to him too; he's a man who is hurting himself almost as much as others, and Bethel really taps into the duality, with some fascinating potential for growth and development in the coming episodes, while acquiting himself in the action scenes too.
