Marvel's Inhumans Premiere: 8 Ups And 3 Downs From 'The First Chapter'
9. There's A Lot Of Dreadful Editing

By far the worst thing about Inhumans that you sort of have to grit your teeth through is the copious amount of awkward cuts, abrupt transitions, and generally poor editing.
More than a few scenes feel as though they ended several seconds before they were supposed to, as a character will be in the middle of finishing an action when they're abruptly cut away from.
There are also certain characters and areas that are cut away from for all but a few moments, only to be immediately cut back to. In fact, there was one instance where the exact same establishing shot was used no more than a few minutes apart.
Plus, usually when this happens, the great music the show has going for it comes to a grinding halt.
Clearly a good amount of care went into the storytelling aspect of Inhumans, but as far as the post-production and editing go, the show is, for lack of a better term, all over the place. If this was an attempt on the part of the showrunners to be visually unique, it really didn't work.
However, with that out of the way, let's get to the ups.
