When we first meet Frank in the trailer, he's playing the opening notes of One - the best and brightest track from Metallica's 1988 album ...And Justice for All. What follows is a menagerie of violence where the former marine locks, loads and blows his way out of a sticky situation to the tune of the song.

It's more than just a badass accompaniment to the trailer's action sequences, however. In fact, it's the perfect soundtrack to encapsulate many of the themes that have typified Frank Castle's comics over the years, with One in particular being an ode to the senselessness of violence and the psychological impact it wreaks on those that both inflict and receive it.

The album itself - apart from being metal AF - revolves around justice. With Frank being in the market to inflict a rather specific brand of it, it becomes apparent just how strong an accompaniment this track was not just for the trailer, but for Castle's life too.
