6. Karen In The Firing Line
We've known for a while that Karen Page would be returning for the Punisher, but now we have a decent idea of what her role will be.
Frank Castle's close friend and confidant throughout Daredevil Season 2, Karen looks to be continuing her burgeoning career as a journalist for the New York Bulletin, following in the footsteps of Ben Urich. Given the fact we know the show will revolve around a government conspiracy, it wouldn't be disingenuous to surmise, then, that Karen will also be following in the footsteps of Woodward and Bernstein, exposing a veritable Gate-themed scandal of her own in Castle's government-orchestrated betrayal.
In any case, it's clear that she'll be put in the firing line again. She joins Frank in a smoke filled room (which looks suspiciously like the offices for the Bulletin), and is later the victim of a targeted explosion in an as of yet unknown locale.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about Karen's inclusion, however, is the fact that we'll get to see more of the fallout surrounding Matt Murdock's rubble-forced absence that came at the end of the Defenders. Hearing both Page and Castle's thoughts in regards to the matter will surely feature throughout the series, and for this Daredevil fan, that's a pretty exciting thing indeed.
