If there's a reason to come to The Punisher, well, it's Jon Bernthal. But if there's a second reason to come to The Punisher, it's the action sequences, which are this universe's best outside of Daredevil.

The Punisher's fight scenes don't have quite have the same slick choreography, but then they don't need to, because the style here fits its character perfectly. They're frenetic, frenzied, and extremely intense. There's no hero coming away unscathed, or taking on just one bad guy at a time, but bodies all over the place and a real emphasis on making the violence as visceral as possible.

It gets inventive too, especially in a sequence that in a gym where every bit of equipment becomes a weapon, and across the season the brutality on display in the action scenes is likely to delight viewers in gruesome fashion, managing to be gloriously entertaining without venturing into the realms of absurdity.
