5. Connor Malone
Connor Malone turned up in Sons of Anarchy's sixth season alongside everybody's favorite Irish headache Galen O'Shay, but by season's end had taken his place. Unlike Galen, Connor's willingness to adapt saw the IRA and SAMCRO parting ways so that he and August Marks could work the gun trade together instead.
In season seven, Jax brought Connor together with Alvarez, an event that went sideways - causing more problems involving the IRA - until the Sons saved Connor's life, an act that pushed through the deal Jax wanted to make between him and the Mayans so that the latter could finally take over the gun business.
Though Jax desired for SAMCRO to be out of guns for good, the follow-up series has revealed that the club is still caught up in it, enough so that Chibs attempted to get the Mayans and the Vatos Malditos to work together over it. With all the conflict that has come out of it now, there's a lot of mystery about the future of the gun business, and with it playing so heavily in the picture, it seems only logical that Connor would eventually have to show up.
