While Marvel has been crushing competition for a while now on the silver screen, they’re surely going to be looking at the DC cartoons for inspiration here. The X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons have been good, but DC still rules the roost there.

There might be squabbles amongst Batman fans as to whether Affleck, Bale or Keaton did the job best (you’ll even find a few to vouch for Kilmer), but Kevin Conroy has done more to make the character his own than anyone.

Yes, Warner Brothers own the rights and are unlikely to lend their characters to Disney+ without stacks of cash; even then, it might be a money can’t buy situation. Likewise, Marvel know they could make a half hour episode of just the Avengers eating shawarma, so why would they pay for other characters when their own are so popular?

But just imagine for a second you’ve got Kevin Conroy’s Batman, Mark Hamill’s Joker and George Newbern’s Superman teaming up with (or fighting against) Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. It will probably never happen, but for one sweet moment, just imagine it.
