7. Will Simpson - Jessica Jones
Will Simpson's character arc on Jessica Jones is a bit of a mess. He begins as another sympathetic victim of Kilgrave's who enters into a relationship with Trish and becomes an uneasy ally of Jessica's. Eventually, though, he jacks up on combat enhancing pills and goes beserk.
This seemed to be setting up a bigger role in season 2, but in the end the character is quickly killed off in the first few episodes of that run.
It's a shame as there was potential to do a lot more with the character. I know, we should appreciate that the show is its own entity, but it doesn't help that Will is so far from his comic book counterpart.
On the page, Simpson goes by Nuke, a crazy Weapon X supersoldier with the US flag tattooed on his face who has fought the likes of Daredevil and Wolverine. No one's asking for that tattoo, but there is so little resemblance between the TV and comics versions that it seems a downright waste.
