MCU: Every Disney+ Series Finale Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)
1. For All Time. Always. - Loki
The first five episodes of Loki set up the finale perfectly. The cliffhanger of the previous episode saw Loki step through into the Citadel at the End of Time and fans were simply foaming at the mouth to find out who was behind the TVA. But did the finale of season one live up to such expectations?
In a word, yes. Instead of the typical big fight sequence and CGI-heavy finales the MCU often employs, the majority of the episode consisted of three characters talking. Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, and Jonathan Majors talked a lot, and every word was just captivating.
The writing was outstanding, and the audience hung on every sentence. As far as MCU Disney+ episodes go, this was by far one of the most tense, and finished with a cliffhanger like few others. There was just one blemish unfortunately, which really isn’t the fault of the show but again more of the expectations it raised.
When Sylvie killed He Who Remains, it appeared to be the spark that kicked off the Multiverse Saga. However, looking back now this moment is retroactively robbed of much of its gravity. We all thought this would lead into No Way Home and the Multiverse of Madness, changing the MCU forever, though nothing has come of it just yet.
