Of the various shows that have helped shape the Netflix corner of the MCU, Daredevil proved to be the best of the bunch overall. After a superb first season and an imperfect but still entertaining second second, season three arrived in 2018 and stuck the landing, sending the show out on an incredible high note that only made the fact it was all over prematurely hurt all the more.

As usual, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were fantastic as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, the two working hard to bring the show's adaptation of the "Born Again" storyline to life. Their long-brewing conflict coming to a head at the end of the season, in which Matt finally "beat" Fisk and lets him know it, was a crowning moment for the MCU, and though the show ended on a cliffhanger involving Wilson Bethel's Benjamin Poindexter becoming Bullseye, the return to normality for Matt, Foggy, and Karen proved to be an immensely satisfying conclusion, even if it wasn't intended to be.

Aside from Bethel and fellow newcomer Jay Ali - portraying the doomed Agent Nadeem - shining brightly, season three made sure to go out swinging with its action, dialing it up in some incredible ways, such as the office battle between Daredevil and Poindexter, the three-way final battle, and, of course, the much talked about prison escape sequence.

When all was said and done, season three turned out to be an astounding ending to a fantastic show that's far and away one of the best things to come out of the Marvel/Netflix partnership.
