MCU: Every Netflix Marvel Season Ranked Worst To Best

10. The Defenders

With all of the heroes introduced, The Defenders arrived in 2017 to bring them all together. The worlds of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist finally collided, the group teaming up to deal with The Hand in an eight-episode miniseries that saw numerous characters from all four series interacting for the first time in fun ways.

Unfortunately, however, the strength of the series was undermined by the fact that The Hand itself turned out to be pretty lame, and it remains astounding that it managed to waste Sigourney Weaver in what ended up being a thoroughly thankless role. As a result, the narrative that had been building up over several seasons felt like it didn't entirely pay off, though - on the upside - at least seeing the titular heroes coming together was worth the wait.

Ironically, despite the aforementioned popular criticism about many of the seasons on this list being stretched too long, The Defenders could've benefited from a few more episodes in order to let these characters and their dynamics with one another breathe, especially in retrospect, as this ended up being the first and last time they'd end up spending real time with one another barring a couple of cameos in one another's shows.

As it stands, however, The Defenders was imperfect, equal parts disappointing and enjoyable, and even if it didn't live up to the hype fans had been building for years, it's still unfortunate we never got to see more of them all together.
