MCU: Ranking Every Netflix Marvel Season Worst To Best
5. Daredevil Season 2
Coming just a year after the first season in order to capitalise on its success, the second season of Daredevil starts off with a Bang, the first episode introducing us to Jon Bernthal's instantly defining take on Frank Castle.
The first four episodes serve as a Daredevil v Punisher mini-arc, and if it was to be judged purely on those four episodes, it'd be among the best things the MCU has done: a gripping, explosive, and tight story with great action and performances. Unfortunately, it's also the downfall of Season 2, because what comes after cannot hope to live up to it.
The rest of the story introduces us to the Hand, who are boring from the off and can't match the intensity of the brawls involving Matt or Frank in other episodes, and Elektra, who is more of a mixed bag, but results in some poor decisions from Matt. The season never feels like one complete whole, with its multiple sections never really coalescing into a singular form, which leaves it a bit messy, but still very entertaining.
