10. Lois Lane As The Primary Protagonist
Lois Lane is one of the best characters in DC's library, so there's absolutely no doubt in our minds that she'd be able to anchor a TV series of her own.
One of the few supporting characters in DC's library that needs no introduction, the Daily Planet reporter has exposed more conspiracies than Batman and Robin put together, and while writers have had a tendency to make her a damsel on all too many an occasion, it's difficult to envision this series behaving quite the same way.
And Lois, DC's premier journalist, is a cracking character to follow anyway. Smart, witty and dedicated, she's just the kind of hero DC needs right now, especially when the superhero genre itself is crying out for someone who isn't dressed in red, white and blue.
It's all well and good having plenty of capes on costumes on either the big or small screen, but the medium itself has excelled when it comes to telling smaller, more personal storylines; Gotham Central, a comic founded on the premise of following the normal cops in a superpowered environment, was revered for doing just that.
Ditch the science-y stuff, and ditch the bizarre buddy-cop premise. This show needs Lois, and Lois alone.
