Metropolis: 10 Things The Superman Prequel Must Include

6. The Rest Of The Daily Planet

Lois Lane
DC Comics

The Daily Planet is the DCU's most famous newspaper, but it's not just Lois who's lent her name to it. Clark Kent, Perry White and Jimmy Olsen are among the most famous employees of the newspaper giant, and while Lois has to be the main attraction for Metropolis, the show needs a competent cast of supporting characters too.

Jimmy Olsen is the most obvious in line to make an appearance, with himself, Lois and Clark forming a formidable friendship inside the company's offices. Perry, portrayed by Laurence Fishburne in the DCEU, is the J. Jonah Jameson to Lois' Ben Urich, and while it's true viewers have lent these particular characters only the most cursory of glances until now, it's high time they got to know them better.

A show centred around the Lois, Perry, Olsen dynamic would work with the right kind of approach, and while Clark would have to be absent, the Daily Planet was going long before Smallville's finest turned up.
