Superman, like Batman, has had plenty of iconic turns in live action over the years. None, however, are more iconic than the Richard Donner films of the late seventies, which really did live up to the tagline of making us all believe a man could fly.

And while a lot of that can be attributed to a plethora of things, including Christopher Reeve's magnetic performance as the eponymous character himself, there is something to be said of John Williams' incredible composition and how it elevated that entire series. To this day, Williams' piece is cited as being among the most memorable the medium's ever seen, and while it's always great to see artists leave their own mark with a theme of their own, it's nice to hear the odd homage here and there.

With that in mind, Metropolis would do well to look towards classic themes like Williams' when composing a new soundtrack. That doesn't mean copying things entirely, but - like we saw in Justice League - sampling a beloved staple can inspire an audience, however briefly that may be.

There are a whole host of classic Superman themes to look at, but to hear a riff on Williams' original piece would be fantastic.
