With Stage 2 of Whiterose's plan coming to fruition in season three, it was difficult to see how things could possibly get worse for Elliot, Darlene and FBI agent, Dominique. However, with the trio closing in on The Dark Army, the terrorist group had to remind them who truly had the power in this situation.
By capturing the group and placing them in an abandoned warehouse, Whiterose decides it's time to put an end to fsociety once and for all. However, when Elliot states that he can make sure Whiterose's plant to the Congo sooner than expected, things change dramatically.
Now that Whiterose has a purpose for Elliot and his crew, a ripple effect of decisions happens in a matter of minutes. In an intense and shocking scene, Irving, played with amazing levels of charisma by Bobby Cannavale, tells Dominique that she's going to be next informant for the Dark Army, before plunging an axe deep into the heart of FBI agent and Dark Army mole, Santiago.
As crazy as the situation was, this episode also settled the ongoing battle between Elliot and Mr. Robot. Enough had happened between the two where they'd realised that battling each other was only taking away from the real threat, which in turn, was a perfect way to bring us into season four.
