While it's not the most action-packed episode in what is quite an action-heavy season, 409 conflict is definitely a satisfying landmark episode in the show's run. Finally, after having to suffer through years of torment and brutality, Elliot and Darlene finally brought down The Dark Army.

Elliot and Darlene make sure the Deus Group, the money men behind The Dark Army, are all in one specific area with each other due to a meeting being called on Christmas day. However, this is just a ploy by the duo, as it gives them the opportunity to match the member's bank details with their phone numbers. By doing so, they're able to drain every member of the group's resources down to zero. It was the sort of cyber heist that even Danny Ocean would be proud of.

Like many episodes in the show's fourth season, there's a major death that is attached to it. After spending an entire episode gloating and goading Whiterose - who is in his Minister Zhi Zhang persona - Phillip Price is shot point blank in front of a group of bystanders. It's a fitting end for a character whose journey had changed significantly from the beginning of the show.
