Following the show's incredible conclusion, we now know the truth about Elliot Alderson. It was an extremely clever twist that Sam Esmail played on the show's fans, using the audience's arrogance to fool them. After all, what truly made us think that the Elliot we knew was the real one all along?

It turns out that the version of Elliot that we'd come to know was, in fact, only the part of the real version of him. The Elliot we'd come to know was the one that was filled rage and used it against the world. It was truly incredible watching Elliot's brain reconstruct itself in front of our very eyes, finally sharing with the audience the truth behind this mysterious anarchistic hacker.

Once again, kudos to Rami Malek who did another fantastic job at showing Elliot struggle to deal with the fact that he has to let go of control of his body. He did a brilliant job of showing how emotionally wrenching it was for him to give up the host body that he'd encompassed for so long.
