Ms. Marvel: 10 Things You Need To Know About The Disney+ TV Series

7. Ms. Marvel Will Reintroduce Inhumans To The MCU

Ms Marvel Kamala Khan
Marvel Comics

In the comic books, Kamala Khan becomes a superhero after she's exposed to the Terrigen Mists and her Inhuman genes are activated. Short of completely reinventing the character, this means Marvel Studios will have to introduce the concept of Inhumans after that disastrous television series which was released by Marvel Television back in 2017.

Eternals will be a good place to lay the groundwork for that, and some recent casting news seemingly confirmed that two Inhuman characters will join Kamala in Ms. Marvel.

Earlier this year, it was said that both Red Dagger and Kamran were being cast, with the latter specifically named as an Inhuman in the casting breakdown. In the comics, Red Dagger, a.k.a. Kareem, is a student from Khan's neighbourhood in Pakistan who operates as a costumed vigilante by night. It's said that there will be "an undeniable romantic connection between him and Kamala" on the show.

Kamran, meanwhile, shares an Inhuman bond with Kamala and becomes her ally before ultimately betraying her. It's unclear whether that will also happen in the series, but short of changing their respective origins as well, Inhumans are definitely coming to the MCU...
