7. My Hero

All Might One For All My Hero Academia
Bones

There are plenty of things you can point to as being the soul of My Hero Academia. But, at its core, the show is about people fighting against impossible odds and forgoing their own safety for the sake of protecting others. Izuku Midoriya (Deku) is the king of this, and "My Hero" is one of the greatest examples of his prestige as a protagonist.

This episode shows as the League of Villains launch their attack on the UA students during their forest training. As the students and teachers prepare for defence, Deku finds Kota and battles against the terrifying villain known as Muscular.

The fight between them is breathtaking, as Deku is forced to put everything on the line to protect a kid who has rejected him. The action is intense, but it's complemented even further by the involvement and development of Kota.

However, "My Hero" isn't limited to just Deku, as the teachers and other less-developed students (like Tetsutetsu and Kendo) are given time to shine too. While the focus on Deku's fight with Muscular is what makes up the foundation of this outing, there's still some excellent ensemble work, which is the cherry on top of this already tasty sundae.
