3. His Start

All Might One For All My Hero Academia
Bones

Attempting to redeem a character who has done nothing but prove his lack of worthiness for your affection is a tough job. Still, this episode certainly lays some excellent groundwork in the slow but steady redemption of Endeavour. It also opens your eyes to a world where All Might is no longer the number one hero, making you optimistic for the future while still feeling a little empty.

In "His Start", Endeavor and Hawks battle against a terrifying, advanced Nomu as the world watches. The fight is intense, but there's more on the line than simply defeating a villain, as Endeavor must win to prove that he can be a worthy number one hero, just like All Might.

The beauty of this episode lies in its simplicity. You get an epic showdown between two fearsome forces and an emotional link between Endeavour and his family, seeing just how much pain he's caused but also how hard he is working to better himself.

It was an explosive way to end the fourth season and proved that the world would be okay without All Might. Plus, the final note - which saw Deku dreaming about One For All's past users and activating it in his sleep - was a great hook for the next season.
