My Hero Academia: 10 Insane Events Coming To The Anime
7. Keigo Takami
Hawks's backstory has been alluded to, but there's still a lot of mystery surrounding the Number 2 hero in the anime. He was shown to have an Endeavor toy when he was a child, signifying his respect for the current Number 1, but his hero worship goes deeper than that. In fact, Endeavor actually saved him when he arrested his abusive father Takami, who was a criminal wanted for murder.
Hawks came from not only an abusive background, but an impoverished one, where he lived in hiding with his criminal parents for a long time. His mother bought him a discount Endeavor doll to keep him quiet, and that doll became his only solace and friend. It wasn't until the real Endeavor arrested his father that Hawks learned heroes were real, and that he wanted to be one, and Endeavor is the hero he strives to be like when he's recruited by the Hero Public Safety Commission.
Hawks's criminal family history and his own actions become another stain on the hero community, associating him with the murderous Takami name. But like Endeavor, it doesn't stop Hawks from fighting alongside his fellow heroes when things are at their worst.
