Netflix Marvel Universe: Everything We Know So Far About The Upcoming Shows
15. When They're All Out
As it stands, the only series we have a firm date for is The Defenders, as we know all eight episodes will be released on Netflix on Friday 18 August.
After that, it's expected we'll get The Punisher, starring Jon Bernthal, sometime in Autumn. Shooting on the series started back in October and finished earlier this month, so it should easily be finished in time, and now one if its directors has stated it'll be out in November, which is close to official confirmation. Jessica Jones came out at that time, and Luke Cage was the very end of September, so it does make sense for it to be around then, and be surprising if it didn't happen.
Of course, The Punisher spoils the two-show schedule Netflix had been working with on these series, and should signal a shift going forwards. Production is underway on the second season of Jessica Jones, will start on Luke Cage in June, and Daredevil Season 3 is set to begin filming later this year.
That leaves all of them well-placed for a 2018 debut: Jones taking the usual March spot, Luke Cage in the summer, and then Daredevil around November time.
