That crazy demon face we've seen in both trailers now? It's product of a "Decoction" - special potions brewed for very special cases.

In the trailer we see a couple of phials being plucked and combined, but when Geralt is in full-on black eyed, pale-skinned mode? That's when he's riding high on a specific decoction.

In the earlier trailer we saw that this scene is where Geralt goes up against a gargantuan spider - something he'll need to prepare his body for, then execute a series of specific moves and tactics in the time window afforded by the potion itself.

It should give us a pretty neat "boss battle" in the show, alongside reminding the audience that The White Wolf can look full-on nightmarish if he gives in to too much magic.
