Netflix's Love, Death & Robots: All 18 Episodes, Ranked Worst To Best

10. Sonnie's Edge

In the underground world of “beastie fights”, Sonnie is unbeatable -- as long as she keeps her edge.

Sonnie’s Edge was the first in my order (Netflix infamously changes them) and was a slap in the face as to what I was in for. The plot is just background for what the filmmaker wanted to show, and the audience came for: a gladiator style battle between two beasts piloted by their human’s, Pacific Rim style.

The clash is some of the best work and possibly the best directed action in the series, just a shame the other 90% of the episode couldn’t keep up the momentum. Grossly unwarranted sex and one-dimensional characters are Sonie’s Edge’s demise.

Luckily, the arena confrontation is just so strong and outright glorious it makes up for most of the episode’s faults.

If you talk in a theatre I'm in, be prepared to get some pretty passive aggressive stares.
