5. Will Otis Begin To Uncover His Past Trauma?
Otis had trouble masturbating throughout Season 1 until the last episode where he finally overcame this hurdle. This came after he shared a kiss with Ola and must have been a massive relief (literally) for him after struggling for so long.
However, we did see him experience a panic attack and other problems when he tried to have sex with Lily. It seemed this was a result of him seeing his dad have sex with another woman when he was a child. Season 2 will likely explore this more and how it has affected him. It could very well be something that Jean has written in her book, but hopefully he’ll confide in her about these flashbacks.
Despite this, Otis does seem to lack interest in sex in comparison to his sexually awakened peers. Even though he knows a lot about sex due to his mother’s occupation, it will be interesting to see if Otis will become more interested in sex overall, especially since he can now masturbate, or if he will continue to have problems. Either way, this will likely be explored through his new relationship with Ola.
