New Jessica Jones Trailer: 16 Things You Need To See

The second full-length trailer for Jessica Jones dropped yesterday and it's exactly as incredible as you hoped. The Netflix series, based on the Marvel comics character of the same name, is due to release all 13 episodes of the first season on 20 November and anticipation is extremely high. It will follow the superpowered Jones as she pursues a career as a private investigator and attempts to bring down the manipulative villain Kilgrave, The show will operate as a continuation of the hugely popular Marvel/Netflix co-production Daredevil and will exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which encompasses nearly all the current TV shows and films based on Marvel comics). 16. High Level Flirting

The trailer opens with an amazingly charged scene between Jessica and her bartender (who we know to be Luke Cage). It's last call at the end of a long day and he's serving her a(nother) double. The scene is intercut with footage of her fighting a pipe wielding man in a luxury apartment (as you do). Cage observes that it's "a lot of booze for such a small woman" and Jones responds "I don't get asked on a lot of second dates". Jessica Jones may be a lot of fun when she's beating up on faceless men and running from her past but she's equally entertaining when she's slamming down whiskys in a skeevy bar.
