Obi-Wan Kenobi Part III Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

Ewan McGregor gives his finest performance of the show yet in Part III, largely due to the insurmountable tragedy Obi-Wan's been confronted with.

Not only has he just learned Anakin Skywalker is alive, but he's not yet reconnected fully to the Force and therefore dangerously out of his element. Confronted by his former padawan, the crushing realisation that he's been consumed by the dark side sends him to his lowest low yet.

It's not all death and despair, though: His aforementioned relationship with Leia and his strength to keep fighting works throughout the episode as a constant reminder that, as long as there's still something to fight for, Obi-Wan will be there and willing to give his life.

Watching him being haunted by Anakin and struggling to remain calm and strong for Leia is heartbreaking, especially when Darth Vader finally surfaces to destroy him...
