Obi-Wan Kenobi Part V Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs
2. Darth Vader In Action
In the final moments of Part V, her secret revealed, Reva decides to use Obi-Wan's escape to kill Vader for the pain he's caused her. It doesn't go to plan.
Just as Part III showed Obi-Wan to be way out of his element against his former padawan, Part V shows that even Reva doesn't stand a chance. Try as she might to slash him with her lightsaber, her rage controlling every movement, Vader uses the force to effortlessly overpower her.
It's an awesome sequence, amazingly choreographed and terrifying, and gives yet another glimpse into the power of an in-prime Vader, who stabs Reva and leaves her for dead without pause.
That's not all the Sith Lord gets to do this episode, mind. Before fighting Reva, he uses the force to stop a ship that's about to take off (though this ship turns out to be a rouse put in place to make sure the Path actually escapes on a different transport).
Part V is nothing short of a revelation, and watching Darth Vader in action is its greatest sequence in a sea of many.
