Once Upon A Time: 10 Characters Who Totally Got The Shaft

ouat blue fairy One of Once Upon a Time€™s strengths is that it€™s a series with a large cast full of diverse characters. No matter what, there€™s at least one character on the show who you€™ll like and root for, whether it€™s Emma because of her determination, Hook because of his roguishness, or Regina because of her impractical yet stylish array of evil outfits. Unfortunately, a large cast full of diverse characters is also one of its weaknesses. Inevitably some characters will get the shaft or get ignored in favor of more needless drama for Rumbelle (just let them be happy for once) or yet another attempt at Regina €œredeeming€ herself (spoiler alert: it never sticks.) These are the top ten characters that totally got the shaft during Once Upon a Time.

10. Every One Episode Character Ever

ouat nova hg I'll admit that this is cheating a bit (okay, it's cheating a lot.) But really, you could make a list based off of these characters alone. Once Upon a Time has this really nasty habit of having an episode revolve around some newly introduced characters only to not mention them at all for the rest of the season. Hansel and Gretel: two characters that could have been used to explore the curse€™s effect on children, reunited with their father and never seen again-or, they could have simply been playmates for Henry. Nova€okay, nobody liked €œDreamy,€ so Nova gets a pass. Still, it's Amy Acker, a talented actress who really deserves to be in more episodes than just the bad one. Gus Gus: a mouse who turned into a (really hot) guy and could have been used for comedy of a sentient animal becoming human, killed off and fridged for drama for Ruby. King Midas: he€™s King freaking Midas, why the heck didn€™t you use him more, show?! Possibly the worst offender of this is Maid Marian, who showed up onscreen for literally five seconds with no dialogue and no characterization aside from €œI am sick and boy this sucks.€ To sum it all up, it€™s bad being a one episode character on Once Upon a Time.
