10. Miss Rosa
A character interesting in both the present of the show and the flashbacks, and one of the most courageous. Rosa is a cancer patient, and one who has long-since accepted that she is going to die of the disease. We learn that before she landed in prison, she was a bank robber alongside three men, two of whom she ended up marrying (both ended up dead). Visiting the hospital for a chemotherapy session, she teams with a young boy also suffering from the illness to steal the wallet of a nurse, one last heist for her to carry out, and you can see how much it revitalises her. Its not the end though, as she gets the chance to escape and takes it, riding away from Litchfield in a prison van. Not content with freedom, she takes the chance to settle a score when she spots Vee also escaping, and in the last moments of season 2 runs her down, commenting: Always so rude, that one. If that was the last we see of her, then its one hell of a way to go out.
