9. No Big Bad - Up
Having a primary antagonist, in the form of Vee, dominating season 2 worked well for the show. It provided lots of thrilling moments of drama, conflict and tension, so it wouldve been easy to try and repeat the trick with another villain-of-the-season. However, the show decided to go against that, and was better for it. Having another big bad so soon after Vee couldve just led to the show feeling repetitive and stale, especially since the memory of her hung over the first couple of episodes. Instead it opened things up further and expanded more of the characters. There was a slightly lighter tone, but still moments of conflict between the inmates, a fair few emotional scenes, and it felt fresher as a result.

A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
