7. Piper Is Actually Enjoyable

The decision to make the story less and less about Piper has been one of the best made by the show's creators. While her confusion at prison life was a great device to introduce the middle and upper classes to what being in such a place actually looks like, with time she became more and more annoying.

Shining the spotlight on other characters, hence making the show more about other inmates, allowed the audience to not only take a rest from her, but actually find her enjoyable. It's not that Piper has been all bad, yet when given less screen-time, she's actually more compelling and fun. Her relationship with Alex is growing, and they have some really funny conversations and observations. Let's just hope this trend keeps up.
