3. Sister Ingalls Possible Demise
Sister Ingalls may be one of the more minor characters, but that doesnt mean shes not made an effect both on Litchfield and its audience. Ingalls has been the chief confidant for Sophia, and their unlikely friendship has been both entertaining and touching. She also provides a religious balance to fundamentalist Pennsatucky, and is one of the few characters who makes use of the chapel for something other than shagging. In the teaser we first see Sister Ingalls say that theres a storm coming and for her, at very least, this appears to be true. She appears a few seconds later looking dazed in a wheelchair, both hands throwing up peace signs, before a flash of her distressed and being tied down in a hospital bed. As one of the more placid (and wise) characters its easy to forget, firstly, that shes in prison, and secondly, that she is a fairly vulnerable lady in an awful environment. Whatever happens to Sister Ingalls, it looks pretty bad so far, and we can be sure that Sophia wont be the only one to mourn if the worst happens.
